I love a new thing! I love starting fresh — a new journal, a new project, a new book. And I love a new bible study! I just do. There is something so exciting about opening God’s Word with a group of new women. It’s the combination of the gifts and talents of those in the room. It’s God orchestrated and it’s a good thing.
It’s been almost two years since I led Bible study. I’ve felt the emptiness in my life. I love my church and I love community, but I NEED to meet together with a small group of women and study God’s Word. I NEED it. God just created me that way. I’ve tried online studies and it works in a pinch. But I need to be face to face with people. I need to open the bible and talk through the verses. I want to see your face light up when you talk about what God is doing in your life. I want to hear the passion in your voice and see the excitement in your eyes. I miss that. Oh, but I do.
I’m so excited to be starting a new bible study group. It’s my first time to lead in our new church. I am praying for every woman to be there — of course if that happens we’ll need a MUCH bigger room! I’m praying for God to pour His wisdom over me as I lead this group in the Nehemiah study by Kelly Minter. I’m praying for PASSION to encourage these women to dig deep into God’s Word — it’s in His Word we find Him. It’s in His Word where we find His wisdom and His instruction. It’s in His Word we see the evidence of His amazing grace. I don’t want anyone to miss this! It’s too important.
But I don’t need to lead a bible study to share that. I have this blog, I have my voice. I speak to groups all over. I can share that truth. But I can also share it right next door or with my checker at the grocery store.
God has something new for us each day. Every day is a fresh start- a blank page. It’s a page waiting for you to fill with your voice and your actions.
What will you do with your blank page today?
Mary,
I’m praying for you as you teach.
I have been a procrastinator. God has laid on my heart to do a Bible study on discipleship. I haven’t put any ink to the page yet. Please pray that I will begin.

Hi Mary
So glad you are doing that , I do online bible studies because I just can’t find anyone church that has evening bible studies but I agree with you on the face to face stuff I need that to in my life , because like you said you need to see your face light up when you talk about what God is doing in your life .
I so agree with you I miss that to I love those far to face discussions.
I think Beth Moore is doing the Nehemiah bible study on her blog this summer I might join in not sure yet.

Carol – I love my online studies too! They have blessed me so, but I’m a face to face kinda girl.
Love your heart!
