Trying to find my way… isn’t that a song lyric? If it’s not, it should be. But I should know the way….
‘Do you know the way to Santa Fe ‘ This is a song lyric! Don’t ask me who sang it, I don’t have a clue!
This whole finding my way thing is getting a bit frustrating. I’m 45 years old. I should at least have a clue to to the way I’m headed. Right?
I thought so too. So, I thought I’d take some stock of my way and where I am on it. I know, it’s a bit self-indulgent, but indulge me for a moment or just stop reading here.
The Way — where am I headed?
I do know the answer to this one — I’m headed to where ever the Lord may lead me.
Do I know how to get there?
There was a time when I thought I MUST have an answer for this, I’m learning I find the answer each day and sometimes within moments in that day. I’m constantly looking to Him for direction.
Do I have a plan once I arrive?
Arrive where? Have you thought about that? When you arrive at His WILL what will you do? Hmm…. do you just stop right there. In HIS WILL and sit down. Done. I’m here. Journey over.
So while you think about this consider
Where are you on this path?
What do you plan on doing once you get there?
What will you do is this place of waiting?
And tomorrow we’ll talk about the place of waiting.
Are we there yet? LOL!
“Wherever He Leads I’ll Go” is one of my favorite hymns. It’s not always 100% true for me to say I do it, but I am working on it!
I can’t read to wait about waiting! : ) That’s something I’m not too good at!
