Happy new year to all my Internet friends — and to those of you I know here in the real world. I made it into 2009 with my bandaged right hand, but we're here. Ready to get to work.
First, let me say that I'm NOT making any new year's resolutions, but I'm making some life changing decisions — geez, that sounded really serious. I am committing this year to draw closer to the Lord. I want to know Him more, love Him more and serve Him more. I want to be the best me I can be.
I hope that means I get another book contract for Girlfriends, God, and Grace, but that's in His hands. I'm just following His lead.
So, as I jump off into 2009 — I'm clinging to Romans 15:13 –
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
That's my first verse of 2009 — I want to overflow with HOPE! Not just any hope, but God given Hope! The hope that will fill me with JOY! I just love Joy in Jesus! I want that Joy! I want Joy and Peace that comes from Him.
And that's my prayer for each of you! Joy and Peace in believing! Jesus has got some exciting stuff for us in 2009 and I don't want to miss out on a minute of it and I don't want you to, either.
I'm excited to be back typing — although it's minimal and I have to rest my hand every few minutes. I'm glad to be rid of the pain, the surgery seems to be a success and I can't wait to share my whole experience with y'all — it's been an adventure!
Have a great today!!
