Episode 44: Being A Relatable Speaker

Jun 28, 2021

Today I’m talking all about what it means to be a relatable speaker. And I want to share with y’all that this came out of the Activate training course that I created for speakers. I’ll be bringing this course back in the fall. But for today, we will dive into what it means to be relatable to your audience, along with some tips and tricks to use while you are on the stage.

“Because I want to be relatable, I want to be real. I want to be the girl who has peppercorns stuck in her teeth.”

Come listen in as I talk about:

•What does it mean to be a relatable speaker? (2:14)

•Your calling is what God places in front of you every day. (4:05)

•Just being you (5:29)

•Things to think about when you step onto the state (6:41)

•Pause and Pray (8:34)

•Don’t let your message be about you (10:02)

•Being prepared or change (10:42)

•What three words will you embody (12:05)

•Potential new opportunities sitting in the audience (14:32)

I loved that I could share with you today about what it means to be relatable. I can’t wait for y’all to take my quiz. I appreciate you being here today. I want to hear how you will be relatable.
