Episode 15: Anita Renfroe

Dec 7, 2020

Anita Renfroe is a comedian who started out leading worship and sharing funny stories at women’s retreats. Listen in as Anita shares her story from music to comedy to Youtube viral video sensation with the Mom Song.

Along with her journey, Anita talks about the stage as a communicator’s tool – “it’s the place you share your message” and she reminds us that “connection matters more than perfect delivery.”

Isn’t that the truth — wouldn’t you rather connect with your audience that deliver the perfect talk? I know I would. Perfection isn’t what we strive for — it’s connection.

We talk about how a career on the stage is a slow burn — it takes time to grow. Anita has been in the communicating business for over 20 years — and she grew her career over those years. From small church events to large events with thousands in attendance.

My time with Anita was one that I know you’ll find encouraging, enlightening and challenging!

Anita Renfrie

Anita Renfrie

It’s been a wild decade going from “stay-at-home-mom” to “YouTube comedic Phe-mom-enon”…

…but Anita Renfroe doesn’t mind. With her unique brand of estrogen flavored musical comedy and blend of sass, edge and slightly offbeat takes on All Things Female, audiences at her comedy concert tours, viewers of Good Morning America appearances and the YouTube masses who enjoyed her William Tell version of everything a Mom says would say that Anita just tells it like it is.
Some would say she just says what everyone else is thinking, but won’t say out loud.

Anita has been featured as a comedy correspondent for Good Morning America, performed at The Grand Ole Opry,  and has appeared on “Dr.Phil”, Sirius XM’s “Oprah and Friends”, CBS’s “The Early Show”, Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends”, “Inside Edition”, Nickelodean’s “Mom’s Night Out”, “Huckabee” and many more.

Anita tours with her own comedy concerts and inspirational women’s conferences where she routinely packs out venues across the United States.

Renfroe and her husband John live in Texas with their spoiled dogs, Maggie and Chipper. They have 3 adult children (but who cares about them?!), and 7 amazing grandbabies!
