Is speaking at a virtual summit something that’s on your radar? If so, what’s your reason behind that? I want y’all to think about this: Are you saying yes because you’re happy that you got asked? Or is it because you have little speaking experience and this is a good opportunity for you? Virtual summits are a great testing and training ground, but there are some things to consider before you give the host your “yes!”
Of course, I want you to grow your speaking career and I firmly believe you have everything within you to do that. But before you agree to speak at a summit, there are some key things I need you to think about.
Highlights from this episode include:
- Things to consider if virtual summits are on your radar
- Making sure you’re in alignment with the summit
- Being careful not to give away your content
- What you need think about before saying yes
- Being mindful of a “bait and switch” approach
I really want you do some inner work, research, and prayer before you say yes to speaking at a virtual summit. The most important of that pre-decision work is talking with the Lord. I If speaking in a virtual summit gets you in front of your audience, and it is a fit for you, then go for it. But do your research, make sure you’re in alignment, choose wisely. Have you ever spoken at a virtual summit? What was your experience like?
