Episode 141: Prepare a Message – Part 3 (Practice)

May 22, 2023

What does it mean to “practice” your message? I’ve had women tell me that they want their message to be fresh, so they don’t do a lot of practicing. Well, I’m going to be honest with y’all: You can share a message that sounds fresh and still be well practiced. Practice doesn’t mean rehearsing your message word-for-word. There’s an art to delivering your message, and practicing is all about the way in which you use your words.

We are in the final part of this three-part series on the 4 P’s of crafting your message. Part one was all about praying and pondering. Part two covered preparation. In this final episode of the series, I’m going to talk about what it means to practice.

Highlights from this episode include:

  • Recapping the first 3 P’s
  • How to practice your message
  • Why body language is important in
  • Understanding the power of a pause
  • Speaking from the heart

Practice does not make perfect, it makes you comfortable. It enables you to stop worrying and gives you the confidence speak from the heart. Without any preparation, you’ll have no idea what’s going to come out of it. If you’re preparing a message or have a speaking engagement coming up, I want you to set aside time this week to practice. It can only help you get better.

I’d love it if y’all came to join the conversation in the Facebook group – Take the Stage Speakers and take a moment to share with us! If you aren’t on Facebook, find me on Instagram! I would love for you to share it with me.
