“Mary, why am I not getting booked to speak?” Well, let me ask you a question: Have you asked anyone to book you? Would you get a degree or certificate and then expect to get a job without applying anywhere? Would you sit at home all waiting for the phone to ring with job offers? “When you put it that way, Mary, it just sounds silly…” Maybe so, but it’s the truth. I want you to think about getting booked to speak, like getting a job, so keep listening to find out more about what that looks like.
While I don’t want you to actually go out there apply for literal jobs, I do want you to develop that mentality to put yourself out there. In this episode, I dive into how and why you should reach out to people and seek out opportunities.
