Walking Pneumonia. That’s what the doctor said. I have walking pneumonia. I have a few problems with this diagnosis. First, WALKING pneumonia – I don’t feel like walking, I feel like lying down pneumonia or is it the laying down pneumonia – I never can get that lie, lay thing right. Let’s just call it the I-don’t-want-to-be-upright pneumonia – okay?

It all starting with just a little sore throat on Tuesday and then Wednesday, Stephanie (my co-worker and dear friend) tells me her hubby has the flu and he started out just like me. So, I rush off to the doctor intent that I have caught the flu in the nick of time. But no flu for me – which is just fine, I think this pneumonia thing may be a bit easier than the flu thing.

So, here I am – at home with the aches, pains, and one wicked cough. As a little added bonus (the only good part), I have no appetite. So,I am eating a little soup and a few crackers every once in a while, just so I have the strength to move from the bed to the couch and back again. (This is helping me in my wedding diet – so, yahoo for that!)

I’ve caught up on my Project Runway episodes – can’t believe Christian won….I was all for Romi! I watched some old episodes of Kate & Allie, but there’s not much else on during the day, just lots of Judge shows and I’m really not that interested in seeing two people fight it out in Divorce Court or Let-Me-Make-a-Complete-Fool-of-Myself Court. I’ve read some books – but I don’t remember much of what I’ve read. I thought about working on my book, but my thoughts are not quite coherent, but that may be a good thing. I’ll keep you posted on the progress. Maybe I can work on my get-a-way section – that’s fun, quirky and it will probably make me forget (for a few minutes) the aches and pains. I did work on my Bible study for Sunday, but again that coherent thought part is a real stumbling block.

I’m off to guzzle down some medicine, hack my head off and maybe find something on TV to watch. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
